Replacing a Primary Water Inlet Valve in Your Refrigerator
As this repair deals with an area that can manifest in some water leakage, it is crucial that you make sure there is no power running to your refrigerator beforehand. You may also want a towel or two on hand to sop up any water left in the lines when you disconnect it
After the refrigerator has been pulled out and disconnected, start by disconnecting the water line on the bottom panel of your refrigerator with a wrench. Expect some water spillage when it comes loose
Remove the screws on the mounting bracket so that you can dismount the water valve. Depress the locking tab on the wire harness to disconnect it
There should be a black C-clip connecting to a water hose. Squeeze the clip and it will allow you to gently pull the hose from the collar so that you can remove the inlet valve completely
