Your dishwasher’s air vent, which is located in-between the appliance’s inner and outer door, is equipped with a small rubber gasket. The gasket creates a seal that prevents water from leaking out of the vent and onto your kitchen floor. After years of use, the gasket can begin to break down. If you find a small puddle on the floor underneath the left side of your Whirlpool dishwasher model WDT750SAHV, the air vent gasket is likely the problem and will need replacing.
Before you begin the repair, unplug your dishwasher and turn off the water running to the appliance. It’s always a good idea to wear work gloves and safety goggles to protect your eyes and hands as you disassemble and reassemble your appliance.
If your dishwasher is leaking and you’re not sure where the water is coming from, please contact us today and we’ll be happy to help you diagnose and repair the malfunction.
