A leak coming from the fresh food compartment in your side-by-side GE refrigerator model
GSL25JFPBS signals the cold water reservoir is damaged. The reservoir is a coiled water line that is attached to the rear wall of your refrigerator. Water is stored in the reservoir to keep it chilled before it runs through the water dispenser and into your cup. How to Replace the Cold Water Reservoir in Your Refrigerator
Before starting the repair, unplug your refrigerator and turn off the water running to your appliance. Remember to always wear work gloves and safety goggles to protect your hands and eyes.

Start your repair by removing the rear access panel from the back of your refrigerator. Once the panel is out of your way, locate the tube that delivers the water from the water valve into the reservoir. Using an open-ended wrench, depress the compression union connecting the tube to the water valve, pull the tube off the valve.

Move to the front of your refrigerator and open the door to the fresh food compartment. Take out the shelving and drawers blocking your access to the cold water reservoir. Pull out the tube you disconnected from the back of your refrigerator.

Open the freezer door, and take off the kick plate at the bottom of your refrigerator. After the kick plate is removed, disconnect the water dispenser tube from the reservoir tube by pushing down on the compression union with your wrench. You may want to have a towel handy to clean up any water that comes out of the tubes after you separate them. Detach the reservoir tube from the retaining clips. Move up to the fresh food compartment and pull out the second half of the cold water reservoir tube. Remove the mounting screw securing the reservoir to the back wall of the refrigerator and pull the old tube off the wall.

Now it’s time to install the new cold water reservoir. Snap the coiled tube into the rear wall of your refrigerator and reattach the mounting screw to hold the reservoir in place. Feed the two ends of the tubing through the two ports on the floor of the fresh food compartment.

Move to the back of your refrigerator and connect the cold water reservoir tube to the water inlet valve. Reinstall the back access panel.

At the front of your refrigerator, snap the reservoir tube into the retaining clips and then insert the tube into the compression connector. Once the tube is secure, push it into the last retaining clip and reinstall your refrigerator’s kick plate.

Replace the shelving and drawers, and close the door to the fresh food compartment. Plug your appliance back in and turn on the water supply to complete your repair.
