Your Samsung oven can’t operate without electricity! If there’s an issue with the power outlet or the circuit, your oven won’t be able to heat up. If this is the case, your oven won’t just fail to heat up – it won’t display anything, not even the clock!
To fix this:
The thermostat is in charge of controlling the oven’s internal temperature. If the thermostat is faulty, your oven may either not heat at all, or it may heat to the incorrect temperature. Try using an oven thermometer that you place inside the oven to see what the actual temperature inside the oven is, then compare it against the set temperature.
To fix:
An oven has two elements – the bake and broil elements. The bake element is at the bottom of the oven, while the broil element is at the top. These elements glow red when they’re working, but if one or both are faulty, it will impact the oven’s heating capacity.
To check if there’s an issue, turn the oven on and check to ensure heat is coming from both elements. They should both radiate heat and glow red evenly. Check to make sure that they are heating evenly – it’s possible for one side to be faulty, which leads to uneven heating.
To fix
The temperature sensor is located on the interior of the oven. It’s a long, thin probe that is usually a few inches long. It’s designed to sense the interior temperature of the oven and transmit this information to the thermostat so that the thermostat can adjust the temperature accordingly. The temperature sensor is attached to a wiring harness, which links it to the oven control system.
You can find the temperature sensor inside your Samsung oven cavity, usually at the top left or top right-hand corner.
If the temperature sensor becomes dirty or damaged, it can lead to malfunctioning, which can mean that the oven doesn’t heat up properly.
