Whether you’ve lived in or around Cincinnati your whole life or you’ve moved here more recently, you likely know that Cincinnati is a great place to live. While there are a variety of great things to do on an ongoing basis, here’s a look at two events you may want to enjoy with your family this summer.
Egypt: The Time of the Pharaohs
When: Runs through August 18, 2019, open daily 10am-5pm (open until 8 pm on Saturdays)Where: Cincinnati Museum CenterThis is a unique opportunity to take a trip back in time to the days of the ancient pharaohs of Egypt. From statues to jewelry to writings, this exhibit has over 350 artifacts. One of the great things about this exhibit is that it allows you to better understand the lives of both the commoners and the elite royalty of the day. To dive even deeper into the world of ancient Egypt, be sure to watch the film Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs.
Western & Southern Open
When: August 10-18, 2019, daily times varyWhere: Lindner Family Tennis Center; Mason, OhioThe Western & Southern Open has been held annually since 1899. It is a professional tournament, but you can watch the tournament with your family and friends. You are likely to see some of the world’s most elite tennis stars. In the past, some of the most recognizable people in the tennis world, including Serena Williams and Roger Federer, have participated in the tournament. Proceeds from the tournament have gone to places such as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Barrett Cancer Center, and Tennis For City Youth, thereby benefiting our community.
